Imagination and Reality

Almost everyone I know wouldn't say "NO" to losing 5 pounds, or going down to a smaller cloth size.  But when there is a lot more than 5 lbs to lose, then you need to determine your goal weight.  I think a healthy goal weight or weight range should be based on your gender, height, and activity level and your age and definitely should be decided with a doctor.  The problem is obviously not what will be your goal weight, the problem is how to get there.

In my humble opinion, everything works, or do what ever works for you to get there.  One  trick I have learnt and used and loved is to imagine yourself at your goal weight.

Here is how is goes:

1-Close your eyes, and relax

2-Imagine you are at your goal weight.

3-How are you feeling? Try to define the feeling, proud, happy, scared?

4-Where are you? By the ocean, at a wedding, or at home?

5-What are you doing? Swimming, dancing, hanging out with friends?

6-Who are the people around you? Mom, Dad, SO, children, friends, coworkers?

7-What are you wearing? That mini black dress, the perfect suit?

8-What is the ambiance smell like? Ocean, Flowers, Food?

9-How are you feeling? Try to define the feeling, proud, happy, scared?

10- Open your eyes.

It may sound silly when you read it, however, it actually is the imagination of future you.  I have imagined, over and over again and I actually made the imagine real.  I at one point (obviously not exactly) but lived that imagination, and still do live it. So just because it is not real yet, it does not mean you don't have the power to make it part of the reality.
