Temptation is hard to resist, or not?  I love eating certain types of food, for me eating is not just to get the nutrition I need to survive, it is fun!, a delightful experience with the whole package.  For example french fries, I love them, I am aware that they are not good for me as for anyone, and I am aware that I cannot, because I should not, be consuming them as often as I'd like.  So I developed this trick. Everytime I am out to have a beer, or about to order a side dish for a sandwich I order a salad and finish it no matter what before I order what I crave for (yep, fries mostly) , if I still want to have fries even after the salad, I let myself order fries.  Almost always, since I fill up so quickly,I am too full to for such an affair. Even if I order them, I can never eat more than a couple.

This trick has been working for me. I am sure you can develop your own tricks for your own food weaknesses.  Remember, desperate times call for desperate measures.
