Weight loss can only be done if you want to do it. You are the sole decision maker; your wife may think you need to lose 10 lbs, your doctor may highly recommend that you drop 20 lbs, and yet you think you are fine? Unless you realize there is a problem, there is no problem. But if you realize that your weight is a problem for you heart, for your knees, for your health, than it is a problem. The most important state is actually to acknowledgment of the problem. The next step is to decide if you want to solve this problem or just keep living with it. In my humble opinion, it will be harder to live with the problem so I suggest you better work on solving it. In order to solve any problem, you need to take a look in to your behaviors, your eating and exercise habits. They say that it takes 21 days to break or start a habit, so for starters whatever your weekness is, you can consantrate on it for the next 21 days. You don't exercise? Start walking for the next 21 days while gradually increasing the load of effort. You eat french fries every day? For the next 21 days don't. I personally tried this for chocolate, and yes I survided and yes now I do not crave chocolate as much as I used to. Start from August 1st and by the third week of August, I guarantee you that you will improve at least one thing in your life, and as a firm believer of the necessity of the constant effort to improve self being to increase the quality of life, I highly recommend this 21 day exercise to break the bad habits and form good ones.
