runningwoman.jpgThere has been more than one occasion that I stopped running in the first 10 minutes since my Ipod ran out of juice. It is amazing to realize how what you listen effects your cardio. I know it gives you the boost to keep it going but can the absence of it be in the way of the whole routine? I guess I am just good at finding excuses. Well either it is a nice to have or a necessity, it is sometimes hard to find good beats that hasn’t been already staying in your player for ages. Here is my current list that keeps me going…

1.       Dance 4 life: Tiesto  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84psYe3g3kM

2.       SummerJam (Remix): Underdog Project http://youtube.com/watch?v=SbvYSUTk5qw

3.       Hurricane: Bob Dylan http://youtube.com/watch?v=few4kiKjNzw

4.       Galvanize: The Chemical Brothers http://youtube.com/watch?v=H2hzVV2Nwfs

5.       Snow: Red Hot Chili Peppers http://youtube.com/watch?v=N8jS6jk8QlU

6.       Believe: Run Lola Run Soundtrack http://youtube.com/watch?v=vs5dSqVmRbQ

7.       Smack My B*tch Up:  Prodigy http://youtube.com/watch?v=v2Gv3X-iyR8

8.       Satisfaction: Benny Bennasi http://youtube.com/watch?v=e8w98WZ_pcw

9.       Days Go By: Dirty Vegas http://youtube.com/watch?v=5oqmhVNk3Hg

10.   Viva La  Vida: Coldplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5I3RPbS8aI

As you can see, I don’t tend to constrain myself with one genre. Whatever pumps up a little bit of adrenaline would work. I also suggest that you spend some time and effort to update your list on a regular basis as it will be a breath of fresh air in your routine.

Here is some more readings about the effects of music and more scientific explanation to how it can help the workout. It also has more choices if you think what I have up there is good but yet enough.
